Large waves. High risk of dangerous situations when in a small boat at sea. High waves whose crests sometimes roll over. Airborne spray may reduce visibility. Do not go out at sea in a small boat

Locally strong wind gusts around 28-33 m/s are expected from southwest, and gale or severe gale force 9 at the coast. Loose items may be taken by the wind. Possibly cancelled departures for ferry, plane, or other transport. Bridges may be closed. Some journeys may have longer travel times. The power supply may be impacted, due to tree(s) falling over. Some roads may be closed due to trees or other objects in the road. Blowing snow at higher altitudes causes reduced visibility and possibly convoys and/or closed roads. Secure loose objects. Close windows and doors tightly. Make sure that gutters, scaffolding, aerials and tarpaulins are securely attached. Avoid unnecessary journeys to exposed places.
